David Ennis is the principal of Affirmative Investments, Inc., a development and consulting firm based in Boston. Affirmative Investments is a development and investment banking firm, based in Boston that works with non-profits partners and clients. Affirmative has three basic areas of focus – New Markets Tax credit transactions, elder affordable housing with enhanced services and transit-oriented, mixed-use developments. Affirmative is currently working on a 100 bed “green house” model skilled nursing facility in Chelsea, MA, a 40 unit low-income housing tax credit project in Belmont, MA, an affordable assisted living facility in Las Vegas, NV, a 102 unit elder facility in Pittsburgh, PA, a conversion of a firehouse into a music school and performing arts center in East Boston, MA, among other projects. David Ennis has been with Affirmative since 1988 and is the President. He is married to Kathleen Ennis, who is the Executive Director of Primary Source in Watertown, MA. He has three children and has lived in Newton since 1983.
